WedGear Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how WedGear, LLC ("WedGear," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information obtained through the WedGear Platform, which includes our website, WedGear Shop, mobile apps, and social media accounts (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy, in accordance with the WedGear User Agreement ("Agreement"). 1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information to operate the Platform, facilitate connections between Members and Vendors, and enhance user experience. Information is collected in the following ways:
a. Information You Provide

Registration Details: When registering as a Member or applying for Vendor status, you provide personal details such as name, email address, phone number, and, for Vendors, business-related information (e.g., business name, credentials, or public profiles).

Vendor Profile Information: Vendors may provide additional details for their profiles, such as business or personnel information and bios, capabilities, expertise, packages, rates/price estimates, images, or additional information.

Content Contributions: Information included in comments, reviews, ratings, surveys, "guest blogs," style boards contributions, or other user-generated content.

Transaction Information: Details related to purchases through the WedGear Shop, such as billing address, payment method (processed via third-party payment processors), and order history.
Communications: Information provided when contacting us (e.g., via contact@WedGear.com or partnerships@WedGear.com) or participating in surveys or promotions.
b. Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We collect data about your interactions with the Platform, including pages visited, features used, time spent, and links clicked.

Device and Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and geolocation data (approximate location based on IP address).

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to track user activity, personalize content, and analyze Platform performance. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may limit Platform functionality.
c. Information from Third Parties

Publicly Available Information: For Vendor applications, we may collect publicly available data (e.g., reviews, social media profiles) to evaluate Vendorship eligibility, as outlined in Section 2 of the Agreement.

Third-Party Services: If you interact with the Platform via third-party services (e.g., social media logins), we may receive information such as your username or profile details, subject to the third party’s policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

Operate and Improve the Platform: Facilitate account creation, profile management, content posting, and connections between Members and Vendors.

Process Transactions: Manage orders, payments, and returns for WedGear Shop purchases, as described in Section 6 of the Agreement.

Personalize Experiences: Tailor content, recommendations, and notifications based on your preferences and interactions.

Communicate with You: Send account updates, respond to inquiries, notify you of Agreement or Policy changes, or provide promotional materials (you may opt out of marketing communications).

Ensure Compliance and Safety: Monitor Platform activity, enforce the Agreement (e.g., Section 5: Conduct and Community Rules), and address intellectual property or legal issues (e.g., Section 3: Content Rights and Responsibilities).

Analyze and Enhance Services: Conduct analytics to understand user behavior, improve Platform functionality, and develop new features.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

With Vendors: Member information (e.g., name, contact details) may be shared with Vendors to facilitate service inquiries or agreements, as noted in Section 7 of the Agreement. Vendors are prohibited from sharing Member information or leads without consent.

Service Providers: We engage third-party providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting services, analytics tools) to support Platform operations. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for specified purposes.

Publicly on the Platform: Content you submit (e.g., reviews, comments, Vendor profiles) may be visible to other Participants or publicly, as described in Section 3 of the Agreement. Vendor Content may be displayed across the Platform or in promotions, with credit where feasible, unless opted out.

Legal Obligations: We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes (e.g., subpoenas), or to protect WedGear’ rights, property, or safety, as outlined in Section 9 of the Agreement.

Business Transfers: If WedGear undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, with notice provided as required by law.
4. Your Choices and Rights

Account Management: You may update or delete your account information by logging into your profile or contacting contact@WedGear.com. Note that deleting your account may not remove publicly posted content (e.g., reviews).

Marketing Communications: Opt out of promotional emails by following unsubscribe instructions in the email or contacting us.

Cookies: Manage cookie preferences via your browser settings. Some features may be unavailable if cookies are disabled.

Arbitration Opt-Out: As noted in Section 9 of the Agreement, you may opt out of mandatory arbitration within 30 days by emailing contact@WedGear.com with “Opt-Out of Arbitration,” including your name and intent.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and reporting unauthorized account activity immediately, as stated in Section 4 of the Agreement. WedGear is not liable for losses resulting from compromised accounts.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Content you submit (e.g., reviews, Vendor profiles) may remain on the Platform indefinitely, even after account deletion, per the license granted in Section 3 of the Agreement. Transaction data is retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us at contact@WedGear.com, and we will take appropriate action.
8. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States and governed by U.S. law, as stated in Section 9 of the Agreement. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with local laws. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy at our discretion, with changes effective upon posting, as indicated by the Effective Date. Registered Members will be notified of significant changes via email or Platform notices. Your continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes consent to the revised Policy. Review this Policy regularly and discontinue use if you disagree with any changes.

11. Additional Information
This Policy is subject to the terms of the WedGear User Agreement, including mandatory arbitration and New York jurisdiction, as outlined in Section 9 of the Agreement.
